Healthy, fuller looking and stronger feeling hair starts with a healthy scalp and I would suggest considering the below products which will not only help you with the slight increase in hair loss that peri-menopause may be causing, but can also help stimulate your scalp to create a healthy environment for stronger hair to grow.
BEST BEFORE
We do not have best before dates on our products, however we do have guidance on how long the product will stay good after it’s been opened. This is called Period After Opening (PAO). This is a symbol like the below. The number in the symbol indicates the number of months (M) or years (Y) after opening the product. It will vary by product and will be on every product label.

Yes! Sustainability is at the heart of FFOR. Our packaging is made from 100% recycled materials, and our formulas are biodegradable.
CAN I RECYCLE FFOR PRODUCT PACKAGING?
Absolutely. All of our packaging is recyclable. Please rinse out any product residue before recycling.
WHY WE CHOSE PCR RECYCLABLE BOTTLES
At FFOR, we invested significant time and research into selecting the most sustainable packaging option. After careful consideration, we chose PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic, which aligns with our commitment to both high-quality and environmentally friendly practices. Our bottles are made with up to 100% recycled plastic, can be fully recycled again, and are designed to be refilled, reused, or repurposed.
We chose PCR plastic over refillable pouches as it allows for a more circular approach by reusing materials already in circulation and ensuring they are recyclable at the end of their life. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE FFOR SHAMPOOS AND CONDITIONERS?
This depends on your hair type and lifestyle. For most people, washing 2-3 times a week is sufficient, but our gentle formulas can be used daily if needed.
HAIR LOSS
On average, you will lose between 50-100 hairs a day, but for some it can be more for a number of reasons.
Re:Gain Remedy is a natural and effective regrowth treatment to combat hair loss. It will encourage growth in weak thinning hair and stimulate the scalp to reduce hair loss for noticeably thicker, denser hair. This is the perfect daily treatment and should be used on a clean dry scalp. Apply using the nozzle, all over the scalp or direct to specific areas of concern. We suggest applying at night before you go to bed. That way it will dry overnight, and you do not need to worry about drying your hair.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE THE RE:BOND SET?
Frequency of use will in part depend on the condition of your hair. We recommend using it every 3-4 washes depending on how damaged you feel your hair is. But as the active ingredients are naturally-derived, it can be used more frequently without experiencing any build-up until you feel your hair is feeling better, and then reduced down in frequency to suit.
Re:Bond Mask effectively replaces your conditioner, and you do not rinse it out. So, any time you use it, just skip the conditioner and go straight to Re:Bond after you have towel dried your hair.
GREY HAIR COLOUR MASK
Our colour bond masks contain direct pigments which are semi-permanent and will wash out gradually in about 4 washes or so, depending on your hair type, condition and colour.
They do not contain bleach so will not lighten hair. The lighter your hair, whether naturally light or bleached, the stronger, more vibrant the result.
If you have grey hair, or roots as you say that are different to the rest of your hair, then the mask may result in a stronger colour on those lighter, grey hairs compared to the rest of your hair. If you are dark haired then that may not be the desired result, depending on what colour you are aiming for.
We would always recommend a strand test before using on your entire head to ensure the result is what you want. The pigments in the masks will coat the greys, so it should cover them for a few washes, however I would suggest that the mask is put through your entire hair, or at least dragged down from the roots to ensure as even a tone as possible from the roots through to the lengths. I can see from the picture below that you have some lighter tones to the lengths of your hair so they may be changed by the mask if it is used on your entire head.
However as mentioned before, the pigments could take to the lighter hair more, so I’d still recommend a strand test on a small section of your hair from root to tip to ensure that you like the result, before doing your entire head.
LATHER
FFOR shampoos are formulated with a focus on natural, sustainable ingredients and free from sulphates. Sulphates, commonly found in many traditional shampoos, are responsible for creating a rich lather.
Here are some reasons why your FFOR shampoo may not lather as much as you’re used to:
Sulphate-Free Formula: Since FFOR shampoos avoid sulphates, they naturally produce less foam. This doesn’t affect the shampoo's ability to cleanse your hair effectively.
Product Distribution: Ensure your hair is thoroughly wet before applying shampoo. Adding a little water while massaging the shampoo into your scalp can help increase lather.
Oil or Product Build-Up: If your hair has a lot of oil or styling product build-up, the first wash might not lather much. A second application usually resolves this.
We recommend focussing on massaging the shampoo into your scalp and letting it do its job of gently cleansing. If you have further concerns or need tailored advice, feel free to let us know.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
SCIENCE BEHIND THE LIQUID
After shampooing hair holds a negative charge, especially in more damaged areas. The positively charged conditioning agents of this water-based treatment pull the moisturising oils, conditioning ingredients, and oat peptide to the negatively charged surface of the hair, where they are absorbed within seconds. It is this process that can sometimes result in the slight warming sensation as this happens.
PREP - PURIFY:SCALP CLEANSE
A gentle scalp scrub. This will detoxify and exfoliate the scalp using sugar crystals
which gently dissolves during use. Volcanic rock ash will absorb excess oil and dead skin cells, and sweet almond oil will add moisture. This should be used when needed for that ultimate clean scalp feeling.
CLEANSE - RE:BALANCE SHAMPOO
This will help to restore balance on dry flaky scalps or overly-oily scalps. 88%
naturally derived ingredients which are nutritiously rich will leave the scalp soothed, hydrated and healthy. Peppermint oil is stimulating and cooling, whilst the lemongrass supports hair growth, eliminates itchiness and relieves from irritation.

Our newly extended Pre:Curl range sounds like it might be the best option to start off with to help you take control of your curls.
Pre:Curl Cleanser & Conditioner are super moisturising and are low lather so they won’t cause a lot of friction when using meaning that your curls should be less damaged through the physical action of washing your hair and that means less frizz all round!

For an intensive but quick in a flash extra conditioner look at The Liquid. A conditioning treatment that works in 8 seconds you use it after shampooing to help smooth down the cuticle and add moisture back into your hair. (If you feel your hair still needs that extra cream conditioner you can do that after, but a lot of people find The Liquid a good alternative instead of a cream conditioner ever 2-3 washes for an intensive but super-fast treatment)

STYLE – PRE:CURL CRÈME
For days that you want to celebrate your natural curls this ultra-moisturising crème is perfect. Enriched with coconut, marula and baobab oils which help condition the hair and glycerine which adds moisture, your curls will have a naturally bouncy finish without being weighed down.
USING THE COLOUR MASKS ADVICE
Depending on how light your ash brown balayage is I would suggest looking at Espresso and Ice Blonde. Espresso is quite dark so will tone lighter areas to a dark ashy brown or give hair that is already as dark as the mask, or even darker an ashy coolness to it without any lift.
However, if your ashy highlights are quite light, you could try Ice Blonde which will remove any warmth or yellowy-ness in them and cool them down. This one is an alternative to a purple or silver shampoo. If you have never used one of those though then I’d maybe suggest the Espresso is best.
Just to note these masks will not lighten your hair – there is no ammonia or peroxide in them, but if you already have lightened hair then they will take differently on those lightened areas and turn out a lighter shade than those areas of your hair that you have not lightened.
We always recommend a patch test first not just to ensure no reactions (as with all products that contain hair colour) but to determine how long you want to leave it on for to get the colour you want. The longer you leave it on the stronger/darker the colour will be.
Also, just to note, if you think the colour could be too strong, you can mix these masks with your normal, everyday conditioner to dilute the colour and lighten/pastellise. So there are lots of way to play about with them to get the shade you want.
The colour enhancement can last 4-6 washes but it can be longer particularly if your hair is lightened, dry, porous etc…

We only sell our permanent colour to salons to ensure that they are only used by trained professionals. This helps us ensure correct usage and amazing results every time.
PERMANENT DYES
We have designed our permanent colour to be as gentle on the hair and head as possible. It does not contain ammonia, PPD, sulfates or MCI/MI.
All of our main scents come from naturally derived oils e.g. orange peel oil. The permanent colour does however state that it contains “parfum (fragrance)” and that it contains “limonene” as well. This may or may not be acceptable for you.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns for products that are no longer needed or that were purchased in error. Our return policy only covers items that are damaged, defective, or incorrect.
