At FFØR we are committed to making a difference, from looking after hair to the Earth itself.
Driving sustainable practices is at our core, with the ongoing scope of improving our environmental impact on the world at large. Whether it’s our PCR packaging or being cruelty free and vegan, we are dedicated to creating a positive change - including supporting sustainable initiatives within the FFØR community.
The future at FFØR
Leading with sustainability and transparency means we are always looking at the bigger picture. We want to protect our oceans and stop the growth of toxic landfills. We want to nurture the wellbeing of everyone in the FFØR community. Fundamentally, we want to look after the planet and all it’s inhabitants, all while creating beautiful hair. That is why we want to identify and invest in partnerships that can help us in our movement for positive change.
FFØR x Green Salon Collective
Creating the circular economy of “reduce, reuse and recycle” means we have to acknowledge every stage of our products’ lifecycle. That is why we have partnered with the innovative Green Salon Collective (GSC). Self defined “Green Libertines”, the founders of GSC have created the first ever salon wastage recycling initiative in the UK and Ireland. This is a way in which we support our FFØR family in salons, helping them recycle their waste as well as educating them on environmentally conscious practices . GSC can recycle the unrecyclable by transforming salon waste into hairdressing tools, compost and much more. This waste is everything from hair, contaminated foil and colour tubes to even PPE. Not only do they do this for salons, but they also hold courses teaching salons how to live and work sustainably, from litter picking events to informative online sessions. Whilst our PCR packaging is recyclable, we understand busy salons might not have the time to oversee every disposal system in place. That is why our partnership with GSC is so important to us. We want to make looking after the planet as easy as possible for everyone. Find out more about GSC here.
