We’re continually looking at new ways to be as environmentally-friendly as it’s possible to be. For example, all of our bottles are made with up to 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials.
PCR packaging provides a sustainable pack that can be recycled again. It minimises or replaces the use of virgin materials as PCR consists of recycled resins that could potentially end up in landfill sites.
The benefits don’t stop there, because PCR has already been processed originally from a fossil fuel to plastic, the reuse of that plastic into a new PCR bottle doesn’t require any further depletion of new fossil fuels, providing a closed loop packaging solution.
If you see a slight colour variation between our bottles this is because PCR originates from discarded coloured plastics, so as a result, there can be a small number of inclusions in materials.
We’re working with our supplier to explore ways of increasing the percentage of PCR used in our bottles, with the goal of eventually using only recycled materials for our entire range.
Once they’re empty, they can be recycled again, so even after use they’ll contribute to our sustainability commitments by helping reduce waste sent to landfill and the demand for fossil fuels needed to make new plastics.
